Booking catering in Singapore usually comes down to one early decision: Mini Buffet or Set Up Buffet? Getting it right matters — book the wrong format and you're either overpaying for setup you don't need, or scrambling to serve a crowd with no warmers and no tables. Here's how to choose.
What is a Mini Buffet?
Mini Buffet is delivered straight to your door — no setup, no warmers, no tables. Cutlery is included, but you handle the serving yourself. It's the lighter, more affordable option, and it works well when you already have a table at home or in the office and just need the food to show up ready to serve.
Typical group size: 10–20 pax. Best for: family gatherings, small prayer sessions, informal office spreads.
What is a Set Up Buffet?
Set Up Buffet includes full on-site setup — warmers and tables are brought and arranged for you, so the spread is ready to serve the moment guests arrive. You're not managing logistics on top of hosting.
Typical group size: 30 pax and above. Best for: larger prayer sessions, company events, community gatherings where there's no existing setup to rely on.

How to decide
Ask yourself three questions:
1. How many guests? Under 20 pax generally points to Mini Buffet. 30 pax and above generally points to Set Up Buffet.
2. Do you already have tables and a way to keep food warm? If yes, Mini Buffet saves you money on setup you don't need. If no, Set Up Buffet solves that problem for you.
3. How much do you want to manage on the day? Mini Buffet means you're arranging the table yourself. Set Up Buffet means it's done for you — useful when you're also managing prayers, guests, or a full office schedule at the same time.
